For sale Thorn Sherpa in excellent condition. I bought the frame from SJSC and built it up into a expedition tourer , this bike will take you anywhere you want. Will suit male / female up to 5' 9" . Brooks saddle not included in sale can supply Terry saddle with bike. Looking for £750 ono.
Thorn Sherpa.

Frame.
Size 485L Satin black.
4130 Cro-Mo double butted seamless cold-drawn conical frame, Reynolds 531ST threadless fork, 135mm OLN, cantilever bosses, lo rider bosses, dynamo boss, slotted cable guides, 3 x bottle bosses, direct mudguard fitting, pump peg. stainless steel fittings, 1 1/8 (28.6mm) Orbit XL2 threadless headset, 27.2mm alloy micro adjust seatpin, and bottom bracket cable guide.

Wheels.
SPA CYCLES Handbuilt Wheelset Rigida Sputnik 26" rims built on Shimano Deore hubs, XT 9 speed cassette. Tyres Schwable Marathon Plus 26" x 1.75".

Gears. Shimano 27 speed LX front and rear, LX shifters.

Chainset . Shimano Deore Hollowtech 2 Mountain Bike Crankset SR48C
Shimano Deore Hollowtech II Crankset Crank lengh 170mm
Hollowtech 2 Crankset which features Integrated crankset and bottom bracket signficantly cuts down weight and increases rigidity. Chainring sizes : 48T-36T-26T
SPD clipless pedals.
Brakes. Shimano Deore vee brakes with Avid SD 2.5L levers.

Other bits. I can do either flat bars with bar ends or raiser bars. Cateye computer, Blackburn EX1 rear rack, Esge mudguards.

so bob how's the new bike ,do you find it to be much better /different than the sherpa.

best of luck on the sell and your new bike.you should put it on bike foruems.net they love the thorn bikes in america.
