Prior to photographing, all bikes will be fully processed, through our workshop, by a qualified mechanic, for a reduced up-front fee of only £20.

We then take professional studio quality, high resolution, photographs, with multiple close-up shots.

We create a detailed, researched full description of your bike’s condition, components and history (where applicable).

Our sales team will swiftly answer any questions from buyers, which arise during the auction period.

We will handle final payment from the buyer.

We will deliver your bike to the buyer, boxed and ready to go! (UK mainland only).

Can we tell you what your bike is worth?

Your bike will be auctioned, over a 10 day period, reaching a huge audience and will realise the current market value.

How should you get your bike to us?

If you live locally, simply drop your cycle in to our shop supervisor Richard.

If you live miles away from us...

We can arrange to have our courier collect your cycle… from anywhere in the UK mainland.

All cycles must be securely packaged.

Collection charge of a securely packaged cycle:
Solo cycles - £35
Tandem cycles - £45

If you do not have the materials at hand to securely package your cycle we can supply you with a Thorn solo or tandem carboard bike box.

We will first send you a new solo or tandem cardboard bike box; you can then securely package up your cycle.

Then you can arrange with us, a suitable day (Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays) for our courier to collect the cycle from your specified address (UK mainland only).

Collection charge including cardboard bike box:
Solo cycles - £60
Tandem cycles - £80

What will you get?

Any Thorn cycle where the final auction price is used against a new Thorn cycle or accessories/components from SJSCYCLES.co.uk
You will get 90% of the final auction price.

Any other brand of cycle where the final auction price is used against a new Thorn cycle or accessories/components from SJSCYCLES.co.uk
You will get 80% of the final auction price.

Any cycle where you take the final sale balance as cash.
You will get 70% of the final auction price.

All bikes will be required to have a workshop prep this will cost £20 up-front.
